Welcome Tuesdays and Thursdays to The Marching Podcast Network!
Since our content is growing and we are producing more shows to bring to you the listener, we have exhausted Sundays and need to move our operations to a second and third day of the week. After a careful thought process, we selected Tuesdays and Thursdays as the second and third days to broadcast our shows here on The Marching Network. Our time slot for both days will be 830pm pacific, 1130pm eastern. With the birth of Tuesday and Thursday broadcasts we are moving the development series to Tuesdays (8 to 5, DDS, and Blunote) and giving Choppin it Up it’s own day at 830pm pst 1130pm est. We are still looking for a drum instructor and a woodwind instructor to fill in the other Thursdays.
With the upcoming marching season we want the 90 Degree Show to recap a matchup from the weekend and allow people who attended the game time to voice their opinions. During marching season especially October, we will look to find the best matchups and possibly have 2 90 degree shows in order to cover more battles just to keep consistency and even distribution of contents.
We also want to conduct more podcast interviews. Currently with a 30 minute show it goes by fast and if there is a caller there is less time to bring up topics for the guest to comment on. In addition it is harder to get one person to be available at the designated time on Sunday on a consistent basis. We want to cater to the guest and their schedules so we want to interview everyone twice where one interview is live for people to ask questions and another is a podcast to give out more information about the guest and/or their projects. We have Twitter and email, so if there is a question that the listener has we will make sure to answer it in a reply or in a blog post. We want to cover as much information as possible within the allocated time slot.
Ready to Go!!!!
On September 7th I found another new toy other than twitter and that is skype. This application allows you to talk and see the person over the Internet connection. Through other research we are able to record the conversation through Audacity and after listening to the playback makes me very excited about our dreams and doing something that will not only make a difference but something we love. Be sure to look for podcast along with this blog in the future. The format, episode title and description will be posted as well. Any ideas or comments please, your feedback is valuable.
